About 15 years ago, I launched The Kalnel Files, a blog that offered sharp commentary and tech-driven productivity takes from a strategist’s viewpoint. Thanks to a loyal following, it grew steadily until, well, priorities changed. Other projects pulled me away, and the blog went silent, despite occasional nudges from my readers.
Now it’s time to pick up that beat again and widen the scope even more. That’s where Hack Mule comes in.
These days, everyone has opinions, but not everyone offers a constructive — or even humorous — take on the world. Hack Mule will deliver strategy, perspectives, and (hopefully) a few smiles and nods.
Expect analysis of how leaders and organizations communicate alongside reviews of the music, books, and art that illuminate our culture.
Humor has a place here, too. The world supplies plenty of absurdity, and pointing it out is often the shortest route to clarity.
Sometimes you’ll get a serious strategy note. Sometimes a cultural review. Sometimes a wry observation about the way people stumble through their choices.
And, as I told Kalnel Files readers back in 2008, I encourage you to chime in with “contradictions, agreements, more info, gripes, praise, and everything else.”
Welcome aboard. I hope you’ll follow and subscribe.
