This may be the most masterful statement from the Palace since “recollections may vary.” Charles is taking decisive action and making a clear separation while showing empathy for victims of abuse. No hedging—these are censures.

In short, Charles just kinged up. From a PR standpoint, that’s quite a flex.

Because the reality is, guilt or innocence aside, Andrew’s situation has become a dumpster fire burning far too close to the institution. Today’s move won’t extinguish the flames, but it might stop the blaze from singeing the rest of the family.

Kudos to the Palace press office on this one. This is crisis comms at its best—message discipline, clarity, and action.
